IdentityCreates is a platform for entry-level creatives to gain insight and access into all things industry, job opportunities, enhancing digital skills and well-being.
We will be sitting down with:
Velma Simmons - A Business Development Manager at Warner Music by day handling partnerships for artists across their labels and then in the evening manages the operations and strategy as Founder and owner of L.I.F.E Talks UK.
L.I.F.E Talks UK is a platform that started when Velma witnessed first-hand how hard it was to break into the entertainment industry. She saw that there was a lot of encouragement for young people to fulfil their dreams across the pond with initiatives such as Revolt Music Conference, but nothing that stood close to that in the UK. This eventually led to the birth of London’s own L.I.F.E Talks.
L.I.F.E Talks stands for Learning from Intelligent Fearless Entrepreneurs and its aim is to push the culture forward and help inspire the next generation! L.I.F.E Talks has had amazing speakers such as Karen Civil, Lenny ‘Kodak Lens’ Santiago and Swizz Beatz.
Velma’s passion is to grow the platform beyond the entertainment industry, but regardless of industry, to let everyone know their dreams are achievable!
Meghan Willcox - A freelance commercial and music promo producer. Who has worked within large agencies and production companies on a range of productions for global adverts and branded content such as Shell, HSBC, Martini & Havana. Along with music promos for artists like Headie One, Krept and Konan, James Morrison and Clean Bandit.
Meghan is also co-founder of clothing brand King’s Ransom London. Which she uses as a platform to showcase upcoming photographers and videographers, supporting them to obtain paid work.
